Karen Osborne-Shaw is a clinical psychologist who can offer a way for you to make changes in your life that will help you achieve a sense of well-being and confidence and contentment:
I am a Clinical Psychologist working in independent practice. From childhood to senior age, I look to ensure I can aid and facilitate your needs at whatever your stage in life.
In our first meeting we will discuss what you would like to achieve in therapy and recognise more about how to introduce changes to gain improvements. We can agree together on how often and for how many sessions we are likely to meet. The aim of the sessions is to understand how thoughts, feelings and actions are interconnected. The outcome is to enhance old and develop new skills. We look at particular coping strategies, in the form of CBT and NLP to look at patterns in behaviour and thinking.
By understanding how your body responds to distress we address formats to aid your resilience and to help you feel better prepared and break difficult cycles of behaviour.
We can cover elements such as depression, grief, anger, anxiety, stress, lack of motivation, difficulty in decision making, social problems, relationship issues, and family problems.
All sessions can take place individually, with couples, and families.
These sessions will help by resolving any negative or limiting beliefs, finding emotional balance and giving you the skills to move forward. Using a combination of psychology, NLP, CBT behavioural change to help you change, develop and progress.
